aLUILLI monochrome art, abstract digital artworks. On this page, you will find the collection of abstract monochrome digital artworks. First, I would like to comment that the term “monochrome” refers to a single color and the range of hues from white to that particular color. Furthermore, it is possible to refer to the specific color, as in the term “blue monochrome.” However, we find that some artists use the extreme hues of the range, or in other cases, they choose only a small range of the middle tones. Finally, the term “bichrome” would be the usage of two colors.
My particular artworks are produced employing carbon, pencil, black ink, together with various digital processes and technics. Consequently, it implies that the artworks could be classed as “black monochromes”. In addition, the white color is rarely used, but it surges from the white background as dealing with a paper or a clear canvas, similarly to the technique of graphite pencil drawing, or watercolor.
Finally, you will find a wide variety of tonalities and textures that surge from the instruments and the techniques used, and which support the plastic intentions.
The monochromes are powerful and dramatic. They evoke the nostalgia of black and white photography and early movies. But nowadays, they sustain attraction to the minds and the cultures. As a form of language that we all understand, and that are willing to appreciate.
Despite this new tradition, the monochromes that you will find in the collection are unique. I hope they sustain themselves on their expression, on their intentions and thoughts, and I also hope that they find welcome and pleasure in your mind.
The artworks are available in high-quality Giclée prints.
